Schlussbilanz 2010

SMT 2011: 1. - 7. Mai

Festival Organization

The Stanser Musiktage is a non-profit association, founded in the fall of 1999. Six years before, in 1994, the event took place for the first time, but it was restricted to four concerts and did not have a support program, and had a total budget of approx. CHF 30,000.00 in the first year. With the further development and incorporation of the support program, the risk was too great for the directors at that time, Christoph Risi and Christophe Rosset, and the overall organization was transferred into the structure of an association. Since the second staging in 1996, the SMT has taken place annually in April.

Since then, all the project, department and location managers have automatically become members of the association. The association is led by a strategic management team, the management board, chaired since the 2007 financial year by Knut Hackbarth. The highest organ, as in the majority of associations, is the annual general meeting, held in November.

All the members and any helpers receive a helper compensation and modest goodwill contributions. Only the joint managing directors, Fabian Christen and Christophe Rosset, receive a mandate for the whole year and are paid within the framework of the applicable budget. The contributions made equate to approximately 140% of a full-time position.

Christophe Rosset is responsible for the main program management, sponsoring, and the branch office. The support program is prepared, implemented, and post-processed by Fabian Christen. Both work in the "Kulturschmitte" office community in Schmiedgasse 8.
