This quintet, led by Andalusian guitarist José Quevedo "Bolita," extends the way of expressing Flamenco to a chamber music crossover. The guitar lines weave masterly into the Mediterranean harmonies and melodies. The Flamenco chord sequences and melodies are transformed with jazzy improvisations. The acoustic guitarist is joined by two percussionists, a contrabassist, and the violinist, Alexis Lefevre. They are a brilliant troupe that has already toured with Spanish Flamenco maestros such as Vicente Amigo and Gerardo Nuñez.
