Four members of this ensemble take to the stage in old-fashioned wheelchairs. They play their groovy music with passion and sing wonderful harmonies. "Staff Benda Bilili" is made up of physically disabled street musicians from Kinshasa, Congo. They are joined by a rhythm section and a 17-year-old guitarist, who produces the most whimsical sounds on his one-stringed instrument. In 2007, the band held a jam session in Kinshasa with Massive Attack and Damon Albarn. No wonder the Brits were greatly impressed.
