Aurelio Martinez is the first young artist from Honduras to come to Stans. He is a charismatic singer and musician with a large repertoire of traditional and contemporary songs. He grew up in the Afro-Amerindian Garifuna community, which lives along the Caribbean coast in Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. Martinez was chosen as radio station Afropop Worldwide's newcomer of the year in 2004 with his debut album "Garifuna Soul." Last year, he was a support act to Youssou N’Dour. For his appearance in Stans, he will introduce his current album with a new Garifuna band.
