Climate-Neutral Events – SMT with myclimate Label

Rising sea levels, melting ice caps, the loss of plant and animal species, extreme storms, heatwaves, and floods are all signs of climate change and are becoming one of the greatest challenges of our time.

Travel companies, car manufacturers, airlines, and many others therefore already make voluntary contributions or offer their customers the opportunity to voluntarily offset their CO2 emissions. Even the entertainment business has now discovered climate protection, and the world's first climate-friendly music video has just been released. 

Although we have always been a very ecologically-aware festival, we have not been able to achieve climate neutrality despite our best efforts. Rather than wait in the wings, Stanser Musiktage, as one of the first major festivals in Switzerland, wants to continue its pioneering tradition by contributing to climate protection, and compensating the festival's residual emissions.

The proceeds will be invested in high-quality climate protection projects in developing and emerging countries run by the climate protection organization myclimate. As the majority of our foreign artists come from just such countries, this is a meaningful way for us to contribute. Furthermore, the efficiency of climate protection projects in foreign countries is three times higher.

The Swiss non-profit organization myclimate provides voluntary offsetting measures. Its climate protection projects are subject to extremely stringent criteria. In addition, myclimate conducts CO2 assessments and raises awareness of climate change and climate protection through climate education projects. In independent studies, myclimate has several times been judged one of the leading offset providers in the world on the voluntary market.
